Today’s ride was much better route-wise since I knew how most of the bike lanes are arranged. I did not get lost but traffic was busier today now that Labor Day has passed. School buses were on their routes when I rode this morning. I stuck to the roads with bike lanes or wide shoulders that were equal to or wider than the bike lanes. This must have been what the 8 other bicyclists I saw had in mind. I passed them with in the opposite direction while I was headed back to the hotel. We exchanged waves from opposite sides of the 4 lane road. The weather was ride perfect but very humid at 84%. Partly cloudy skies, 78 degrees, and north 4 mph breeze were waiting when I started.

Today’s ride statistics from my Garmin Edge 305:

miles 23.73

riding time 1:32:43

average speed 15.2 mph

max speed 18.7 mph (I do no think this is correct)

average cadence 85 rpm

max cadence 104 rpm

elevation gain and loss 45 ft.

minimum elevation 1 ft., max elevation 41 ft.

September miles 114.62

YTD miles 3859.17

9-7-2010 Garmin Connect Charts and Map

[iframe http://connect.garmin.com:80/activity/embed/48067051 465 548] I am still in Savannah for today.
