Jordan | www.chron.com<\/h4>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/s.hdnux.com\/photos\/01\/22\/47\/21\/21656703\/3\/1200x0.jpg?w=1200&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p>A Massachusetts man was killed outside Houston Saturday when a driver crashed into a group of cyclists who were near the midway point of a 2,400-mile cross-country bicycle ride.<\/p>\n<p>Police identified the slain cyclist as 51-year-old Kent Joshua Wosepka from South Hamilton, Massachusetts. He was among six cycling enthusiasts making their annual trek from San Diego to St. Augustine, Florida, when the collision occurred. Collectively, the event has raised more than $12.1 million, both from the ride itself\u00e2\u20ac\u201deach of the current 85 participants personally secures at least $4,500 in pledged donations\u00e2\u20ac\u201dand an annual tribute gala.
