Weekend CX roundup: Pan Am successes and another strong World Cup<\/a><\/h2>\n

There was plenty of \u00e2\u20ac\u02dccross racing this weekend, despite the UCI World Cup being cancelled in Antwerp. On Saturday, the next round in the Superprestige in Boom, Belgium. On Saturday and Sunday, the Pan Am Champs took place in Texas.\nPan Am Championships: Holmgren wins title<\/p>\n

Over twenty Canadian cyclists competed at the 2021 Pan American Cyclocross Championships in Garland, Texas, over the weekend, with athletes bringing home five medals, including a junior title for Orillia\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Ava Holmgren.<\/p>\n

Nuss wins elite women’s Pan-Am Cyclo-cross title<\/a><\/h2>\n

Raylyn Nuss (Steve Tilford Foundation Racing) rode solo across the line to win the elite women\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Pan-American Cyclo-cross Championship on Saturday in Garland, Texas. Canadian Ruby West, who captured the women\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s U23 Pan-Am title in 2019, battled for a second place result.<\/p>\n

The final spot on the podium went to Caitlin Bernstein (Easton Overland\/ McGovern Cycles) as she was able to hold off a charging Hannah Arensman (Sycamore Cycles).<\/p>\n

Let’s get some night mountain bike rides going again. We can have 2 groups, a more advanced group that want to shred the trail at a faster pace and we can have a more social pace group. It is a no-drop ride. Bring lights, helmet, water and extra tubes. Everybody is responsible for their bike repairs and safety. We’ll hit up Oak Cliff Nature Preserve this week. Lets meetup at 6:45 and wheels down 7:15. Alex Natareno will be leading this ride. We can have another person helping with the more advanced ride as well.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
