I’d like to express my gratitude to a good Samaritan.<\/p>\n

I’m a 73-year old avid cyclist. On a recent afternoon, I had a slight spill trying to do a U-turn. A passing motorist, a 30-ish woman, stopped and asked how I was doing.<\/p>\n

When I said I was OK, she said to check out my bike. If it wasn’t working, she’d give me a ride home. She then waited by the side of the road while I checked out the bike. Fortunately, it was fine. She was very nice.<\/p>\n

Shortly before, I had stopped to check a text message. A passing couple on a tandem bicycle asked if I was OK. Austin generally treats cyclists well.<\/p>\n
