The projects will focus mainly on streets and sidewalks in the areas of S. College Avenue, William J. Bryan Parkway, and Texas Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>City engineer Paul Kaspar says the goal of these projects is to improve safety for the residents of the city of Bryan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThose are projects that will improve safety and mobility for residents, all users, roadway users, so not just vehicular but were looking at pedestrians and bicyclists on both of those corridors,\u201d said Kaspar.<\/p>\n<p>On S. College Avenue, sidewalk improvements will take place from Villa Maria to the College Station city line near Inlow Blvd. Improvements included the construction of shared-use pathways, sidewalks, bicycle routes, and signage along the route. Troopers claim his failure to control his speed lead him to hit the six cyclists.<\/p>\n<p>The 66-year old man is accused of killing 51-year-old Kent Wosepka, a cycling enthusiast from Massachusetts, who was taken to a Beaumont hospital and died the next day. Two others were also hospitalized in serious conditions including Wosepka&#8217;s fianc\u00e9e, Betsy O&#8217;Brien.<\/p>\n<p>If convicted, Weaver could face up to two years in jail. On Sunday, we passed 20,000 miles, according to the Gear setting on Strava, the fitness app (which means \u201cto strive\u201d in Swedish.)
