Much of its appeal lies in the fact that Austin is such a beautiful, convenient and relatively safe place to get around by bicycle. Unfortunately, as these past few weeks remind me, some UT students are unaware of the bicycle\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s growing importance here \u00e2\u20ac\u201d and a few are downright hostile. According to my source there were about 60 bikes listed earlier today and now ALL of them have been removed.
