The Broadway debacle is a blow to safe cycling in San Antonio<\/a><\/h2>\n

San Antonian J. Bruce Bugg Jr., the state\u2019s top transportation political appointee, issued an upbeat statement about Wednesday\u2019s sit-downs with local officials, days after the Jan. 27 decision by the Texas Transportation Commission to abruptly upend the Broadway project.<\/p>\n

But the message can\u2019t dress up a TTC action that represents a big setback for both San Antonio and Alamo Heights, as well as the cycling community, pedestrians and all who share a vision for safer streets in San Antonio.<\/p>\n

NCTOG Hybrid Public Meeting On February 7, Updates On Long-Range Transportation<\/a><\/h2>\n

Arlington, Texas \u2014 The North Central Texas Council of Governments will host a hybrid public meeting in February to provide an update on the region\u2019s long-range transportation plan, an effort to develop a unified brand for a bicycle-pedestrian trail that will run from Fort Worth to Dallas and other planning initiatives.<\/p>\n
