The temperature warmed up nicely with lots of sunshine. As I got ready I thought about ways to rearrange today&#8217;s route but settled on the typical Saturday &#8220;Atascocita &#8211; Huffman &#8211; Walden&#8221; route. I rolled away at 10:54 AM on the Cervelo Caledonia. I didn&#8217;t expect to see any other cyclists with the late start but I saw three starting on West Lake Houston Parkway and later on Old Atascocita Road. Chamber of Commerce weather ruled for this ride. Light wind, 80&#8217;s, and lots of sunshine by the time I finished at 1:28 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Surprisingly this was only the second time riding the &#8220;Atascocita &#8211; Huffman &#8211; Walden&#8221; route in 2022. This pushed the week&#8217;s total to 195.97 miles. Looks like a 200+ mile week with Sunday&#8217;s bike ride. March is up to 761.64 miles, 617 of those on the road. My 650 mile goal for March is getting closer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I made the turn onto Fairlake Lane the construction crews were gone and nice smooth asphalt awaited the Cervelo&#8217;s tires. They just need to add the center stripes. I can&#8217;t remember when this road surface was better. The video shows how it looks. There is one hump that didn&#8217;t get ground down before the asphalt was applied. Riding south through the &#8220;S&#8221; curve near the mailbox of the first house on the right is where the little hump is. Not sure why that happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking at the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/axs.sram.com\/activities\/wahoo-262128671__1648310093\">AXS.SRAM.com ride information<\/a><\/strong> I made 37 RD changes. The most time was spent in the 35&#215;15 gear combination at 1:18:18. Next was the 35&#215;13 at 46:57. I thought it was reversed. Some ride I need to change the front chainring just to see if it works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After several bike rides in strong wind this week it was good to experience a light wind ride. Weather conditions: start 75 ( humidity 56%, dew point 59), clear, wind S 6 mph: finish 83 (humidity 27%, dew point 46), clear, wind SW 6 mph. I wore one of the polyester long sleeve T-shirts under my short sleeve Texbiker jerseys. A good combination comfort wise.
