AUSTIN, Texas \u2014 More than 50 wounded veterans are currently rolling across the state of Texas as part of the 2022 Project Hero: Ride 2 Recovery Texas Challenge in hopes of raising awareness of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).<\/p>\n

The riders are biking from San Antonio to Arlington, with a stop in Austin and Georgetown on Tuesday and Wednesday.<\/p>\n

More than 40 cyclists and their supporters will be welcomed by officials at Fort Hood Thursday as they stop on their way from San Antonio to Fort Worth. The six-day ride Ride 2 Recovery Challenge spans 500 miles and is a part of Project Hero, a national nonprofit organization.<\/p>\n

Founded in 2008, Project Hero is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to helping veterans and first responders affected by post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury and other injuries achieve rehabilitation, recovery and resilience in their daily lives.<\/p>\n
