An old railroad trestle bridge crossing Oso Bay is nearing what could be confirmation of new life.<\/p>\n

A study will determine whether the section of the former Tex-Mex railway spur could become a hike-and-bike trail that would link Flour Bluff to the Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve on the city\u2019s Southside.<\/p>\n

It will be partially funded by a $175,000 Texas General Land Office grant, formally accepted by the Corpus Christi City Council on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Old Omen Road in Tyler has \u2018slightly new look\u2019<\/a><\/h2>\n

TYLER, Texas (KETK) \u2014 The City of Tyler announced that Old Omen Road from University Boulevard to Shiloh Road has a \u201cslightly different look.\u201d<\/p>\n

The city said that the road was recently seal-coated and repainted, adding a small buffer between the main lanes and the bicycle lane to make traveling safer for bicyclists on the roadway.<\/p>\n

This update is part of the city of Tyler\u2019s \u201cTyler Bike Stripes Project,\u201d which identifies 11 bicycle lane routes and includes a centralized hub near Downtown Tyler, painting bicycle lanes and placing signage along the roadways.<\/p>\n
