This was a new route for me but it covered some of the same roads as the Makuri 40 route I rode yesterday. Stage 6 of the Tour of Makuri Islands had two routes and I chose the longer <em>Country to Coastal<\/em> at 20.8 miles with 899 feet of climbing. Actually I rode 20.89 miles and climbed 928 feet. During the ride I watched the feet climbed almost as much as the distance. With less than 2 miles to go there was around 200 feet of climbing left and I was hoping it would spread out over those miles but it came in lumps. 4 sprints today versus 5 yesterday. No Strava top results since this was the first time on the route and there were only 3 segments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/zwiftinsider.com\/route\/country-to-coastal\/\">ZwiftInsider.com<\/a><\/strong>, &#8220;One of Makuri Islands\u2019 longest routes, Country to Coast takes you on a tour of Yumezi\u2019s castle area and farmlands as well as Urukazi\u2019s wild coastline.&#8221; Route basics: <strong>Length: <\/strong>33.4 km (20.8 miles), <strong>Elevation: <\/strong>274 m (899\u2018), <strong>Lead-In: <\/strong>0.13 km (0.1 miles).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some sand and gravel on the route near the water it was sand and in the forest it was gravel.
