ATASCOCITA, Texas \u2013 A 7-year-old was struck by a vehicle while riding his bike in an Atascocita neighborhood Thursday, Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman said.<\/p>\n

It happened in the 13600 block of Valley Lodge Parkway and Stark Sky Lane in the Eagle Springs subdivision in Atascocita.<\/p>\n

According to Herman, a white Toyota Corolla struck a 7-year-old child that was riding his bicycle. EMS and the fire department were at the scene and the child reportedly sustained minor injuries, Herman said.<\/p>\n

PeopleForBikes Announces 2022 Industry Community Grant Recipients<\/a><\/h2>\n

BOULDER, Colo. \/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE\/ \u2013 PeopleForBikes, a national bicycling advocacy organization and the U.S. bicycle industry\u2019s trade association, announced its latest round of community grants totaling $92,000. The 11 projects funded in 2022 will support bicycle infrastructure and advocacy projects across the U.S.<\/p>\n

PeopleForBikes\u2019 Industry Community Grants Program is funded through the Employee Pro Purchase program, which collects donations from individuals who work in the bike industry and take advantage of pro-pricing discounts on new bikes and bicycling equipment. Cannondale and Trek currently participate.<\/p>\n

Since 1999, the PeopleForBikes Industry Community Grants Program has funded more than 400 projects in all 50 states totaling more than $3.6 million in direct funds. Round Rock PD searching for driver who struck child on bike and left the scene<\/a><\/h2>\n

The Round Rock Police Department is looking for a driver who hit a child on a bike and then fled the scene earlier this week.<\/p>\n

The incident happened around 8:35 a.m. on Tuesday in the 1600 block of Red Bud Lane. EMS transported the child to the hospital.<\/p>\n

Police said the vehicle is described as a black BMW and the driver is a Black woman.<\/p>\n
