The lodge gave away 41 bicycles Friday to children in need for Christmas.<\/p>\n<p>The idea was spurred by Arvol Hodge, who saw a similar project in Wichita Falls.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;He was the one who went to the elementary schools and told them what we were doing,&rdquo; said Jimmy Ned Wallace, the lodge&rsquo;s Exalted Ruler.<\/p>\n<p>School personnel selected the students who received bicycles based on need.<\/span><span class=\"storycredit\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Monica Green, Cleburne Times Review (link to full article) Cleburne Elks Lodge No. 811 is starting a new tradition.
