Elderly bicyclist dies after collision with vehicle on South 1st Street, APD says<\/a><\/h2>\n

A 76-year-old bicyclist died after colliding with a vehicle last month in South Austin, according to police.<\/p>\n

It happened in the in the 5100 block of South 1st Street, just north of the intersection with West Stassney Lane.<\/p>\n

The Austin Police Department says officers responded to the crash at around 11:43 p.m.<\/p>\n

John Phillip Judah was transported to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center for emergency care — but he later succumbed to his injuries.<\/p>\n

The driver of the sedan was unharmed and remained at the scene to cooperate with the investigation. This incident is Austin’s 25th fatal crash of 2023, APD says.<\/p>\n
