24 Hours in the Canyon cancels race amid rain storms<\/a><\/h2>\n

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) \u2014 The decision was made on Wednesday to cancel the 24 Hours in the Canyon fundraiser bicycle race at Palo Duro Canyon due to heavy rainfall with more in the forecast.<\/p>\n

As of Wednesday morning, Palo Duro Canyon received an inch and a half of rain in about 45 minutes, leading to the closure of Palo Duro Canyon.<\/p>\n

The trails have been devastated by mudslides, rock falls and flash flooding, which officials say is not repairable before the weekend race.<\/p>\n

HOUSTON \u2013 Houston police are asking for the public\u2019s help in the search for the suspects responsible for a series of robberies in the Third Ward area.<\/p>\n

According to Houston Police Department\u2019s Executive Assitant Chief Larry J. Satterwhite, at least five robberies have been reported on the Columbia Tap trail over the last two weeks.<\/p>\n
