Local bike shop Blur Cycleworks fosters community, hosts rides in Round Rock<\/a><\/h2>\n

At the heart of Round Rock, the city\u2019s only locally owned bike shop, Blur Cycleworks, is a unique hub for all kinds of cyclists, offering full-service bike repairs and free weekly bike outings.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur philosophy here is that we want you to be a bike rider, not a bike owner,\u201d owner Eric Warnsman said. \u201cWe don\u2019t want you to buy a bike and ride it three times and put it in your garage and let it sit forever. \u2026 By having these rides, it gets to people to come out and ride with others.\u201d<\/p>\n

Blur Cycleworks hosts social and competitive rides for a variety of skill levels. The shop offers beginner rides on Tuesdays, endurance rides on \u2026<\/p>\n

BREAKING: Man hit while walking bike on Winters Freeway in Abilene<\/a><\/h2>\n

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB\/KRBC) \u2013 A man was hit while walking his bicycle on Winters Freeway in Abilene Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n

The incident happened in the northbound lanes of the freeway near the exchange with Hwy 83\/84 around 1:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Police say the man was walking his bicycle across the freeway when he was hit by a vehicle.<\/p>\n

He was hospitalized and his current condition is not known at this time.<\/p>\n

No further information has been released.<\/p>\n

2nd bicyclist hospitalized after crash in Abilene Monday<\/a><\/h2>\n

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB\/KRBC) \u2013 A 2nd bicyclist has been hospitalized after another crash in Abilene Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n

This crash happened at the intersection of Fairmount Street and Lexington Avenue just before 4:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

Police at the scene told KTAB and KRBC a vehicle traveling down Fairmont Street stopped at a stop sign then kept going, hitting a motorized bicyclist who was traveling north on Lexington. \u2026<\/p>\n
