Bicycling advocates have proposed naming a bikeway in the city after former planning director Pat Walsh, including the Heights Hike and Bike Trail along Nicholson, for his efforts to make the city more accessible for riders.<\/p>\n<p>Friends remember Pat Walsh as someone who saw the big picture of what Houston could be, and the little details necessary to get a massive city bureaucracy headed in the right direction.
