The department later plans to work on a second segment of Broadway that runs through Alamo Heights from Burr Road to Austin Highway.<\/p>\n<p>The project announcement comes a year and a half after the state spiked the city\u2019s plan for a more bike- and pedestrian-friendly Broadway corridor that voters approved in 2017. There, I saw a flashing light with a Kendall County truck next to it that said \u201cescort vehicle.\u201c I was saddened to see that they were in the process of re-chipsealing Waring Welfare Rd from that point on into Waring. That essentially ruins the road for road bikes for a short while. I\u2019m hoping that\n???? ???????? wasn\u2019t damaged by any of the loose gravel. Other than that, I essentially battled the wind all night. It is getting so dry out lately, and we desperately need rain. Of course, it would be nice if it would rain during the night or at other times when I don\u2019t plan to ride.?
