I didn&#8217;t start today&#8217;s ride as early as my recent rides because a repair man was planning on coming this morning but that was changed to tomorrow. I got ready and headed out on my Lynskey Helix bike on a route I&#8217;ve only rode 4 previous times this year, <strong>New Caney &#8211; Roman Forest Blvd &#8211; Oakhurst<\/strong>. The roads are not that different from other routes just a different combination and turn around point. The Lynksey&#8217;s wheels went rolling at 9:39 AM. The weather changed over the weekend dropping 100+ degree days from the forecast. I was ready for a break like that. Today&#8217;s 33.7 miles was the average distance for the route in 2023 and moved my September total to 338.78 miles, 47% of the way to my 720 mile goal. I finished at 12:28 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Weather: Start 80 degrees, 56 humidity, dew point 62.9, mostly cloudy, wind NE 4 mph; Finish 90 degrees, 43% humidity, dew point 64.7, mostly cloudy, wind N 4 mph.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The lower temperature, humidity, and dew point felt good as I rode. I only needed a water bottle leaving the CamelBak at home. The light wind allowed my legs to power through without much strain. Checking my <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/axs.sram.com\/activities\/wahoo-262128671__1694443160\">AXS.SRAM.com ride report<\/a><\/strong> showed 1:36:56 using the 35&#215;13 gears and 31:42 in the 35&#215;15 gears. I made 33 rear derailleur shifts. The Velo saddle felt good throughout the ride. I reclaimed the Strava <strong>Local Legend<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.strava.com\/activities\/9829194733\/segments\/3136368629745788122\">Trikelly<\/a> on Adams St. with 13 rides
