I guess it hasn&#8217;t come up in my mind to ride it sooner. Today&#8217;s bike ride went south on the <strong>Atascocita South &#8211; Walden &#8211; Huffman<\/strong> route. The route route goes south before turning east to go over Lake Houston and circle Huffman. Starting at 9:26 AM pedaling my Canyon Endurace bike I changed the route to avoid the traffic at Kingwood Park High School due to their later start time on Thursday. This added a little more distance compared to the 36.6 average distance for the previous 5 rides in 2023 as I rode 37.20 miles today. The week totals 161.57 miles, a good position to hit 200+ miles and make up for falling short of 200 miles last week. My legs felt good today powering along the ride. I aired the tires up to 80 psi before the ride and the Canyon seemed to roll easier. Hot weather was back for another shot but the wind wasn&#8217;t gusting like yesterday. Weather for my bike ride: Start 84 degrees, 79% humidity, dew point 76.6, a few clouds, wind E 6 mph; Finish 92 degrees, 62% humidity, dew point 76.8, partly cloudy, wind E 8 mph.
