The project expanded Camp Wisdom from a two-lane asphalt roadway to a four-lane divided concrete thoroughfare from Robinson to Belt Line Road. Key components of the project include a 13-foot-wide cycling and pedestrian trail on the south side, a reinforced girder bridge at Mountain Creek, two Contech Bridgecor arch bridges, 46,000 square feet of Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) walls, storm drainage improvements, new traffic signal enhancements at Carrier Parkway, and a signal upgrade at Belt Line Road. \u2026<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/news4sanantonio.com\/news\/local\/woman-dies-following-early-morning-hit-and-run-on-west-side-san-antonio-texas-police-investigation-evidence-officers-witnesses-driver\">Woman dies following early morning hit-and-run on West Side<\/a><\/h2>\n<h4>news4sanantonio.com<\/h4>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/news4sanantonio.com\/resources\/media2\/original\/full\/1281\/center\/80\/f7cbc06b-5b9a-4310-a43d-d9e0f0189a17-FATALAX1.JPG?w=1200&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p>SAN ANTONIO &#8211; A woman is dead following a hit-and run accident on the West Side.<\/p>\n<p>The deadly accident happened around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday along South General McMullen and Monterey Street.<\/p>\n<p>Police said they don\u2019t know the situation that led to the accident, only that the woman was riding a bicycle when she was hit by an unknown vehicle. The driver initially stopped, but then took off.<\/p>\n<p>She was pronounced dead on the scene.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ksat.com\/news\/local\/2023\/10\/25\/woman-riding-bicycle-killed-in-hit-and-run-on-west-side\/\">Video: Woman riding bicycle killed in hit-and-run on West Side<\/a><\/h2>\n<h4>Rebecca Salinas, Katrina Webber | www.ksat.com<\/h4>\n<p>SAN ANTONIO \u2013 A woman riding a bicycle on the West Side was fatally hit by a vehicle that kept on driving, according to San Antonio police.<\/p>\n<p>At around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, the woman, who was in her 40s, was struck by a vehicle that was heading south on South General McMullen Drive near Monterey Street, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Police are not sure which direction the woman was headed when she was hit.
