Bicyclist in serious condition after hit-and-run on the Northwest side<\/a><\/h2>\n

SAN ANTONIO – A local woman is in serious condition after being struck by a car while riding her bike on the Northwest side.<\/p>\n

The incident happened near the 400 block of Bandera Road around 12:30 p.m. Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n

According to the San Antonio Police Department, the 50-year-old woman was riding her bicycle when a dark-colored vehicle struck her, causing her to be thrown off.<\/p>\n

Police say the driver of the vehicle failed to stop and render aid and fled the scene.<\/p>\n

The woman was taken to the hospital in serious condition.<\/p>\n

Officials at the scene shared that the bicycle did not have the proper lighting on a dimly lit street.<\/p>\n
