But in Austin, Texas, some bike lanes are red instead.

When it adds a bike lane to an existing street, Austin doesn’t add color. But when a new separated lane is paved for the first time, the city chooses a terra-cotta shade. It says it’s more affordable than adding paint or a colored plastic coating on top of the pavement, as is standard in other U.S. cities. …

A Recap: BellVelo Race #3

By Paul Negrete, Drop Bar, Texas: A cycling podcast | podcasters.spotify.com

Race #3 of the 2023-24 BellVelo Gravel Series capped another successful series. Figured I would give it another shot but the major downfall for the ace, pro for filming mountain biking is that the field view is way too narrow. the view on this run is the best it will get as I shot it in Freeframe mode and squished the square shot without cropping it into a 16 x 9 video. As you will see in the video, the vertical view in horizontal view is much too narrow as sometimes you cannot see the trail ahead and the handlebars, don’t even fit in the frame.
