As I was researching my trip to Texas Hill Country, I saw a place on TrailForks that looked intriguing: Reveille Peak Ranch. Located almost squarely between Spider Mountain (to the north) and Station Mountain (to the south), this trail network \u2013 at least from what I could tell \u2013 was definitely worth a visit (just check out the trail map!).<\/p>\n

To be honest, the layout of the Ranch was a bit intimidating, though \u2013 there\u2019s a lot of ground to cover. But thankfully I had two friends and Austin locals (sort of) to show me around. The first couple of miles into our ride I was a bit unsure (overgrown trails and mean rocks?) but once we got on the good stuff, I was sold! Reveille Peak Ranch is a pretty cool destination for mountain bikers \u2013 if you know what you\u2019re getting into.<\/p>\n

Cyclist in Wichita Falls hit by vehicle, hospitalized<\/a><\/h2>\n

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX\/KJTL) \u2014 One man is hospitalized after he was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle on Tuesday afternoon in Wichita Falls.<\/p>\n

Officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department responded to the intersection of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Pecan Street at around 2:50 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, for reports of a cyclist being hit by a car.<\/p>\n

According to our crew at the scene, officers said they discovered a cyclist on the scene that had been struck by a vehicle.<\/p>\n

City Council amends city code, allowing flexible maintenance of Butler Trail<\/a><\/h2>\n

The Austin City Council approved city code changes on March 7, allowing more legal wiggle room to maintain the Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail around Lady Bird Lake.<\/p>\n

The City Council initiated the code amendments with a resolution last May, aligning the trail with the city\u2019s code. Leslie Lilly, the environmental program conservation manager of the city\u2019s watershed protection department, said the \u2026<\/p>\n

The Texas Department of Transportation has launched a new statewide safety campaign aimed at reducing the rising number of fatal crashes involving pedestrians and bicyclists.<\/p>\n
