The Permian Basin Ride of Silence will mourn local cyclists killed on the roads and aims to raise awareness of cyclists.<\/p>\n

May is National Bicycle Safety Month and the 18th annual Permian Basin Ride of Silence is scheduled for May 15 at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n

The route will start and end at Mid-Cities Church (8700 TX-191). The route is about 8 miles going no faster than 12 miles per hour on the 191 Access Road to 158 and \u2026<\/p>\n

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – Donated bikes are being given new life on the other side of the border.<\/p>\n

Both Mexican and U.S. consulates, along with Working Bikes\u2014a Chicago organization that donates and redistributes bikes\u2014and the World Bicycle Forum, helped organize a bike ride across Bridge 1.<\/p>\n

The bike ride helped give these bikes another life in an attempt to help what the World Bike Forum calls an initiative to \u201cdemocratize access to more fair and equitable mobility for Mexico and Latin America.\u201d<\/p>\n
