The road shoulder was 3 feet of asphalt giving me room to ride and not slow traffic. Off of the road a concrete trail, I&#8217;m guessing 10 feet wide, snaked among the trees and over a lake. A portion of the trail under the road was under construction with workers present. A number of homes looked finished while others had workers. All of this on land previously forest and scattered old homes plus a former small airport I called Porter Intercontinental. I didn&#8217;t go on all of the streets but I will explore further on a future ride. I created a new route name: <strong>Community Drive &#8211; The Highlands &#8211; Oakhurst<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My Lynskey Helix bike carried me on the exploration ride starting at 10:55 AM and finishing at 2:27 PM. I altered the streets as I rode through Kingwood on the way to US59 from the usual ones when I bike to the north. I stopped at the Circle K on FM1314 at Sorters Road. I must&#8217;ve stayed too long because when the ride resumed the Quarq power meter reading was stuck on 23 watts (3 sec average). I figured the battery was done but when I got home and tested it there was plenty of life left. At the stop sign on Kellington Drive at US59 I used the SRAM app on my phone to check the power meter battery but it said to spin the crank to connect. I did that without much confidence but the power meter started sending data to the Bolt computer.
