Wheels rolling at 10:08 AM on the Canyon Endurace CF 7 bike. After riding in the rain yesterday I packed a plastic bag for my phone and GoPro camera in case I got caught again. When I reached Farmingham Road I took a side trip to check on the mud under FM1960 on the Atascocita Hike and Bike Trail. The mud is gone thanks to the Harris county Precinct 3 maintenance crew. That makes future rides there more pleasurable. Getting to Ramsey Road required pedaling into a easterly 14 mph and 21 mph gust headwind. My legs powered me there and the turnaround made a nice tailwind back to FM2100. The route alterations and side trip upped the distance to 42.4 miles compared to the average 39.8 miles. That helps to offset Monday&#8217;s short indoor ride. The week totals 131.3 miles and 654.9 road miles for the month (72% of my goal).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First day of summer. Now the sunlight starts getting shorter. Enjoy it while you can.
