On Wednesday night, fresh off of a ride into town from Florence, the group had two of their bikes stolen while staying overnight at the YMCA in Eugene. When they got up the next morning, two of their bikes were gone. The organization announced that it will cease operating effective June 30. Originally launched in 2012 with 100 bicycles and 10 stations, the system grew to more than 1,100 bikes and 124 stations by 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The service expanded with the support of the City of Houston, as well as funding from federal and local organizations like the Transportation Improvement Program and Council District Service Funds. The man, Ennis Steels IV, 37, is facing new charges of evading with previous convictions, possession of a controlled substance, and assault, among others.<\/p>\n<p>According to College Station Police Steels IV was running from police on his bicycle on Texas Avenue.
