I rode north following my <strong>New Caney &#8211; Roman Forest Blvd &#8211; Oakhurst<\/strong> route. It began at 9:35 AM after I paused stage 3 of the TdF 4 hours and 35 minutes into the broadcast. I&#8217;m watching on Peacock. The heat of the day had not arrived with &#8220;only&#8221; 86 degrees as I set out on my Cervelo Caledonia bike. This was the 8th ride on this route but I varied the streets enough that Strava didn&#8217;t match any of those rides. My goal for July is 930 miles which equates to 30 miles every day. Today I put a few miles in the bank riding 35.04. This routes averages just over that so far this year. The pace wasn&#8217;t fast but steady. My legs felt good and the wind was under 10 mph but changed direction from the west to the northeast by the 12:20 PM finish.
