Denton woman fights against tragedy, takes on 125-mile mountain biking challenge on reality show<\/a><\/h2>\n

Kristen Myers has faced every parent\u2019s worst fears over the past several years, but she\u2019s putting the strength she\u2019s found into mountain biking 125 miles in Colorado.<\/p>\n

A Denton resident since 2014, Myers lost her 18-month-old son in a drowning in 2019, only to learn that her youngest son, who is a twin and 4 now, was born in March 2020 with Phelan-McDermid syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that causes immobility and immunity dysfunction. He is one of 300 people worldwide with the diagnosis and is prone to seizures and chronic kidney issues. Though he just learned to walk, he may \u2026<\/p>\n

Harris County 15-year-old hit by vehicle while riding bike, constable says<\/a><\/h2>\n

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Harris County officials are at the scene after a juvenile was hit while riding a bike in near The Woodlands.<\/p>\n

Constable Mark Herman reports authorities were called to the 6000 block of West Rayford Road near the Alexan Auburn Apartments after a 15-year-old was hit by a vehicle while riding a bicycle.<\/p>\n

The condition of the teen is unknown at this time.<\/p>\n

Harris County Precinct 4 officials are investigating.<\/p>\n

College Station City Council approves Texas Independence Park master plan<\/a><\/h2>\n

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – A new master plan for Texas Independence Park was unanimously approved at Thursday\u2019s College Station City Council meeting. In addition, the council also addressed a proposed tax rate, a housing action plan, and a survey on traffic congestion. \u2026<\/p>\n

Crash with van injures bicyclist on Guadalupe County road<\/a><\/h2>\n

A teen riding his bicycle was seriously injured after he was struck by a van on Friday afternoon in Guadalupe County.<\/p>\n

The crash happened between between 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on FM 1044 just north of Youngsford Road in Guadalupe County, Texas Department of Public Safety Lt. Kenny Mata said. Only the boy on the bike reportedly sustained injuries in the crash, Mata said.<\/p>\n

Investigators believe the injured boy to be about 15 or 16 years old but had not confirmed his age or identity Friday evening, Mata said.<\/p>\n

According to witnesses and preliminary investigation results, the boy was \u2026<\/p>\n
