The incident occurred in south central Midland.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe preliminary investigation indicated that (the victim) was traveling southbound on Johnston Street without proper equipment,\u201d the Midland Police Department said in the release. \u201c(The bicyclist) was struck by (the pickup truck driver) impacting (the truck\u2019s) front quarter panel.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Officers pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The victim has not yet been identified. No further information was available Thursday afternoon.
