\nSusan G. Komen for the Cure is interesting in creating a “Ride for the Cure” here in Lubbock. Representatives from the organization came to our last club meeting to pitch the idea. They would like to have the 1st annual ride take place in 2012. The first planning meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 5:30 pm at the Komen office . Discussions will include all aspects of what it will take to host a Ride for the Cure including course, aid stations, sponsors, logistics, expenses and more.
