Ride of Silence May 18, 2011<\/strong><\/span><\/a>

\nBikeHouston organizes a ride of silence each year during bike month to remember those cyclists that have been hurt or killed while riding their bike.\u00c2\u00a0 This will be a casual, quiet ride from Memorial Park to City Hall downtown.\u00c2\u00a0 All participants are encouraged to wear white clothes for the ride. Additional details regarding the starting time and place to follow.<\/p>\n

Bike-to-the Ballpark May 1, 2011<\/strong><\/span><\/a>

\nJoin BikeHouston, the Citizens\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 Transportation Coalition and the Houston Astros for bike-to-the-ballpark day!
\nSign up in advance to receive discounted tickets, then ride your bike to the stadium on one of the two guided routes or directly from your house.\u00c2\u00a0 Details about the routes and starting times will be released soon.<\/p>\n

Bike-to-Work Day May 20, 2011<\/strong><\/span><\/a>

\nFriday, May 20, 2011, is National Bike to Work day.
\nBikeHouston is working with the City of Houston to implement multiple bike rides that begin at various neighborhood bike shops and converge upon City Hall simultaneously at 8:00 AM.\u00c2\u00a0 Participants will include bicycling advocates, customers and team members of Bicycle retailers, as well as corporations and City Officials.
\nCurrently, Bike Barn, Bike Sport and West End Bikes have all agreed to host guided rides into downtown for the event.\u00c2\u00a0 Stay tuned for additional details and starting points!<\/p>\n
