One of the first questions he asks new acquaintances is: Do you ride?<\/p>\n<p>Taylor does \u00e2\u20ac\u201d everywhere. He rides to work, to the grocery store, to restaurants. And he\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s always encouraging others to do the same.<\/p>\n<p>With gas prices pushing people\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s pocketbook pain threshold, more drivers are willing to listen to Taylor\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s pitch.<\/p>\n<p>Bicycling as a primary form of transportation already is common in Galveston, where streets are flat and everything is within easy pedaling distance.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Galveston County Daily News reports on a bike boom in the county.
