Today’s ride had a different purpose from the vast majority of my rides: get me out of the dog house. I mistakenly put an envelope in the recycle bin that should not have went there. So I rode to Humble to the recycle bin at church to retrieve the envelope.\u00c2\u00a0 I have not bike this route in over ten years because of the increased traffic and construction but I planned the route as much as possible and began. Traffic was mild probably because it is Sunday but the headwind was tough. Scattered clouds, 91 degrees and a 16 mph south wind made the ride challenging going but the return was much easier with that tailwind.<\/p>\n

Normally on Sunday I ride about 25 miles but today the miles were 19.33 with an average speed of 14.1 mph. Maximum speed was 22.1 mph and my average cadence 78.6 rpm.<\/p>\n

To sum up the week my miles are 157.69<\/strong>, May miles 469.83<\/strong> and year to date miles 1972.50<\/strong>. There are six riding days left in May so my goal of 650 miles looks possible. No rain is forecast in that time either which is very bad.<\/p>\n
