If you can’t beat ’em, make fun of ’em. That’s the idea at the annual Fire Ant Festival in this Piney Woods town, where goofy events include a fire-ant-calling contest and ugly-face-making contest. There’s a parade, chili cook-off, dominoes tournament, Tour de Fire Ant Bike Race (100K, 10-mile, 30-mile and 45-mile bicycle tours), as well as a 5-K run and plenty of live music and food.<\/p>\n
