\nEvent Description: An individual time trial is a road bicycle event in which cyclists compete alone against the clock. Time trials are NOT a competition between riders but are for an individual to compare their times and measure their progress and are great for training. Time trials are also referred to as “the race of truth”, as performance depends only on each rider’s strength and endurance, and not on the help provided by team-mates and others riding ahead and creating a slipstream for drafting. These are great for beginning cyclists and triathletes alike as you can compare times to mark improvement. Starting times are at equal intervals, usually one or two minutes apart. There is no pre-registration, just show up!<\/p>\n
