Yesterday evening we finally got some rain, 0.42″ to be exact. This is the first measurable rain at my house in many months. While this is not enough to end the drought it should help our grass and trees. The rain did not stay around long and the heat, blue skies and low humidity are back. It was 95 degrees when I finished my ride and the humidity was 41%. Wind was not much at 5 mph from the south. I did not see any bikers. Tomorrow there will be a parade and fireworks in Kingwood. Maybe the heat will be kind on the spectators.<\/p>\n

Today I rode 25.75 miles<\/strong> at an average speed of 14.7 mph, a max speed of 23.5 mph, and average cadence of 76.4 RPM. July miles are now at 77.19<\/strong>. This week I rode 161.74 miles<\/strong> and year to date is at 2916.28 miles<\/strong>. Tomorrow I want to ride about 30 miles and I will need to start around 6:30AM to avoid the heat and get back for the parade.<\/p>\n
