There was no where to hide on today’s ride. When I started the temperature was 96 degrees with the heat index at 106. Adding to my riding pleasure was a 14 mph south wind with gusts to 24 mph. I did not really notice the wind until I heading back across Lake Houston on FM1960. Out in the middle of the lake there no trees or buildings to break the wind so at times I was pedaling hard but only going 14 mph. Only one other biker was out so the weather must have deterred the rest.<\/p>\n

The ride was 24.5 miles<\/strong> at an average speed of 15.0 mph. I had a max speed of 213 mph and the average cadence was 79.7 RPM. July miles are now 260.13<\/strong> and the year to date miles are 3099.21<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
