Today’s ride was the first one in a while without a dog sprint. I did not miss them either. One thing I did have was 91% humidity at the start. Thankfully this dropped to 51% by the time I finished. I have not weighted but I must have lost 4 to 5 pounds of water in sweat. At my first stop to refill my water bottle I was pouring perspiration like a fountain. The temperature went from 78 degrees to 94 degrees. My goal was to ride at least 55 miles and I made it to 56.1 miles<\/strong>. My average speed was 14.9 mph which was a little lower than I would have liked but there were some stretches where the wind was strong and slowed me down. I did managed a max speed of 21.9 mph though. Average cadence was 76.4 RPM. I saw one other biker at the 49 mile mark and I almost missed him when he rode past me from behind as I turned left onto another street.<\/p>\n
