It is the oldest organized bike ride inexistence. It goes from a suburb of Paris (StQuentinenYvelines) out to Brest, a port city on the northwest coast of France, and back. More importantly, it is an opportunity for over the hill athletes to compete against themselves to see if they can ride 1230km (764miles) in under 90 hours. It happens once every 4 years and requires riders to qualify by riding a 200k (124 miles), 300k (187 miles), 400k (249 miles), and a 600k (373 miles) within specified time limits.

The game plan was for three of us to ride together Jonathan Berk (from Berkeley, CA), Wayne Dunlap and Brian Pirttima (both from Austin, TX).Jonathan and Wayne rode PBP together in 2007 (that time with Jason Robertson),and Wayne rode it in 2003 as well. It would be Brian’s first time. …

Sansom Park, Fort Worth Texas
by Shawn      Texas Mountain Bike Trails
Trail Head
2501 Roberts Cut-off Road, Fort Worth, TX 76106
…Description
Marion Sansom Park is nothing short of majestic.
