Grants earmarked for garden, bicycle share program

TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) – Texarkana, Texas, and Main Street Texarkana are among recent recipients of Union Pacific Community Foundation grants.
The city has been awarded $5,000 to expand and improve a community garden at Wheeler at Robbins streets in the city’s Beverly community.
The garden, constructed in April as part of a U.S. Agriculture Department market promotion grant program, is home to 9 raised beds providing a total of 192 square feet of planting area. The …
