On Sunday Mornin’ St. Patrick’s Day Sunday

Well, the threat of rain was ever present, and essentially everyone else abandoned the ride. Thank goodness David Patterson said that he would still be willing to go. It was only slightly misting when we started, and at times, it wasn’t raining at all. At other times, especially when we got close to Blanco, the bottom fell out and we got drenched. However, near the end of the ride, we both said that we were glad that we had done it. I had the chance to talk to David a little bit more than usual, so that was nice. He’s also an extremely strong cyclist who has that endearing quality of humility. Of course, as always, I’m thankful to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for saving me both spiritually and physically enabling me to return to this sport that I love. I thank Him for another safe ride with a great friend without any mechanicals or flats.
Very nice Sunday for some backroads with friends! Lufkin, Texas

Couple sprints thrown in for fun. Wow I don’t know what to do with myself….2 rides back to back with no crippling back spasms. Maybe there’s hope for me yet…
