… when I booked my flight, way back in October, American politics would be turned on its head? As I write, the latest news is Trump’s policy on refugees and I see TV pictures of demonstrations at airports. Will any of this affect me?
Anyway, my main focus now is on getting ready to fly out to Houston in 12 days. Sofi’s in good order and I’ve just had the inner zip on Big Agnes replaced. Not much change in the kit department so I won’t be listing again. I’m dithering a bit about taking the folding seat because US campsites all have tables and benches… mmmm…

Woman on bike killed by METRORail near Houston Zoo

HOUSTON (KTRK) — METRO says a woman who was killed by a light rail train Friday morning did not have the right of way when she rode her bike into the train’s path.

Tour de Houston extends into Missouri City this year

For the first time, Houston’s annual Tour de Houston bike race fundraiser will extend into Fort Bend County. Missouri City will play host to three of five stops on the race’s longest route.
