Texbiker.net covers the news, events and resources for those interested in Texas bicycling.

My bicycling passion was rekindled in 1979 with a Huffy bicycle from Woolco. From early rides around my neighborhood my enthusiasm grew to tackle my unsupported first century. From there I discovered organized rides all over Texas, races and mountain bikes. Many bikes and miles later the enthusiasm is still there.

Thanks to my late wife, Hazel Marie, for her support over the many years, miles and rides.

My primary bike is the Cervelo Caledonia Rival AXS below. My titanium bike is the Lynskey Helix titanium. My newest bike is a Canyon Endurace CF 7 Rival eTap.

For the 6th year, Trek Women proudly supports The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. 100% of the Ride registration goes directly to this worthy cause.

Brief Description
This event features 10mi, 25mi, 40mi, 50mi, 100km and 100mi courses through Williamson County. This event isn’t competitive, it is an opportunity to join cyclists from across Texas to ride for fun. There are rest stops located every 12-14 miles that are set up along the trail for cyclists to grab some snacks or a drink. The tour closes at 5pm, so cyclists should select a course they can finish within that time period.
Rules

This event will be held rain or shine unless extremely dangerous conditions exist. No refunds will be made. All traffic laws must be obeyed at all times. HELMETS ARE REQUIRED. 100 mi cyclists must pass Aid Station #2 by 10 am. If not, cyclists must finish on the 100 km course.

Information
Ride begins at 9:00 a.m. October 8, 2011
Registrations begins at 8:00 a.m.
Price if pre-registered is $25 (by October 5, 2011)
After that date, the price is $30
Routes available: 10 mile, 30 mile, 45 mile and 100K
Registration/packet pickup will be held in the parking lot directly across from the Chamber, located at 213 W Austin, Marshall, TX 75670 on the morning of the ride

There will be:
Long sleeve tshirts for the first 275 riders
Door prizes (including a Trek bike)
Trophies for top riders in each category
Free pizza and beer to follow ride for riders
