The Hill Country Sports Association is proud to present the 2010 Fiesta Wildflower Ride. The cycling community along with San Antonio and its many visitors will have a fun family event for 2010. Participants and spectators alike anticipate a me2009 Fiesta Wildflowermorable weekend to kickoff Fiesta activities. For 2010 route distances will range from 25 mi – 100 mi. Rest stops will be staged approximately every 10 miles and were fully supported by volunteers. Roving SAG vehicles will be available on all courses to assist riders between aid stations when necessary. The Fiesta Wildflower Ride brings families together during this weekend of challenging and inspiring activities.

The Katy Ram Challenge is a non-competitive bike ride held annually in Katy, TX to benefit the Mayde Creek High School MIGHTY Ram Band. The ride includes several courses ranging from a 12 mile family ride to a 76 mile endurance ride. Expect rolling meadows and farmland around the Katy / Brookshire area. Take the Challenge – We Dare You!!!
$25 through 4/8, $30 Day of Ride, Extra shirts $10 ea.
START TIME:
8:00 a.m. – 75 mile and tandem start, followed by 62, 35, and 12 mile groups. Be aware that riders will be started in groups of approximately 200 to ensure safety.

Educating Houstonians in the fundamentals of bicyclist safety is one of the primary goals of the City of Houston’s Bikeway Program. It’s one of the six categories considered by the League of American Bicyclists (LAB) when awarding its Bicycle Friendly Community designation. Approximately 90 communities throughout the United States have been awarded the “Bicycle Friendly Community†status (the City of Houston received an honorable mention in 2007).
The City of Houston had partnered with the League of American Bicyclists to program free web-based bicyclist education. The website address is: www.bikeed.org
