About Texbiker.net

Texbiker.net covers the news, events and resources for those interested in Texas bicycling.

My bicycling passion was rekindled in 1979 with a Huffy bicycle from Woolco. From early rides around my neighborhood my enthusiasm grew to tackle my unsupported first century. From there I discovered organized rides all over Texas, races and mountain bikes. Many bikes and miles later the enthusiasm is still there.

Thanks to my late wife, Hazel Marie, for her support over the many years, miles and rides.

My primary bike is the Cervelo Caledonia Rival AXS below. My titanium bike is the Lynskey Helix titanium. My newest bike is a Canyon Endurace CF 7 Rival eTap.

by San Angelo Standard Times
It’s the day after Christmas, and the jolly plump guy in the red suit is resting up from Christmas Eve. He just completed his annual ultra-multisport event (sleigh driving, roof clambering, and chimney climbing), and he’s now back at the North Pole reviewing the past year.

Like Santa, I’m also reviewing 2009 and reflecting on what our community accomplished related to fitness and wellness this past year.

During 2009 I wrote 27 articles related to cycling…

DFW Point-to-Point: Thanks
by Steve A
Lovely Bicycle!, for a different perspective that I’ve often found valuable. I’m a vicarious follower of the “co habitant,” but it was the half finger mittens that made it on to my Christmas list. They beat out the infectious enthusiasm … It gives me hope that Yeti are more than just imaginary, at least in some parts of Texas. He gives me even more amusement and inspiration than I give him. CycleDog, perhaps an agent of Satan, but certainly an inspiration to get the old …
