There are 3 levels of rides being offered again this year: a 25 mile cruise, a 65 mile ride with an option to add the “Toughest 18 Miles in Texas” Time Trial.
25 Mile Cruise: A quick cruise along Ocean Dr.; one of the most beautiful and prestigious boulevards in Texas.
65 Mile Ride: Encompasses the Corpus Christi Bay including:
* a beautiful sunrise climb over the Harbor Bridge, which is sure to take your breath away
* a route through the coastal communities and fishing villages of Portland, Ingleside, Aransas Pass, and Port Aransas;
* hop a ferry for a ride across the intercoastal canal featuring playful dolphins;
* travel down Padre Island, across the JFK Causeway, through Naval Air Station-Corpus Christi and down Ocean Drive
The Toughest 18 Miles in Texas Time Trial is offered to participants who want to have an added challenge and will again be included within the 65 mile ride. Beginning this year will be a time trial within the time trial, the “Donny Kloster Memorial Mile” -the last mile of the Toughest 18 Miles in Texas.

The 6th Annual Conquer the Coastâ„¢ ride takes cyclists on a tour of the beautiful Corpus Christi coast. Join us on September 26, 2009 for a 25-mile cruise ride or a 65-mile ride with music and festivities. The 65-mile cyclists have an opportunity to compete in the Toughest 18-miles in Texas Time Trial along their route.

The Raven Ride will start at the Target parking lot in Huntsville, TX.
Your ride options include a short 20 mile round trip ride to Huntsville State Park & Lake Raven (shuttle provided back to start/finish for those that desire a shorter 10 mile ride). Riders may also elect to ride the 33 mile Possum Walk Loop through the rolling wooded hills if up for more of a challenge.
Riders that desire a longer ride can delve deeper into the Sam Houston National Forest past Lake Stubblefield on either the 51-mile San Jacinto River Bottom Trail or the 61-mile Koon Trail route. (This is a road ride; all routes are on paved FM roads or State Highways.)
* Ride starts at 8:00am with no riders leaving after 8:30am
* Course closes at 2:30pm
* Rest stops will be available throughout the ride
* SAG vehicles will be patrolling the routes to help with medical troubles and to pick up riders with any problems (please be prepared to handle your own flats and minor problems)
Team ALS-C3’s Conquer the Coast Criterium – Corpus Christi, TX
Team ALS-C3’s Conquer the Coast Criterium bookends Corpus Christi’s 6th annual Conquer the Coast cycling event. We invite you to join us at 7:30 Saturday morning as we climb the harbor bridge, catch the ferry at Aransas Pass, circle the entire Corpus Christi Bay passing through the surrounding coastal communities and North Padre Island before traveling through the Naval Air Station and back along Ocean Drive. Race Information
-Â $4,500 total prize money! Primes every race and great merchandise!
-Â Pre-registration is $30 per individual race. Pre-registration for both days of racing is $50. Your second race each day is
only $15. There is a $10 surcharge for day-of registration.
- Mens’s 3/4 and Pro/1/2/3 races are only open to USAC annual license holders.
-Â Registration is available via BikeReg.com (online service fees apply) or day of event.
-Â Day-of registration starts at 4:30 pm and closes 30 minutes before each race.
-Â All USAC rules apply. USAC permit pending
-Â Unlicensed riders will be required to purchase a one-day license available at the event
-Â Please respect our hosts; littering will result in disqualification
-Â Race held rain or shine
