On June 6th, 2009, thousands of cyclists will start out from the Mesquite Rodeo Center. Bring your family, friends and co-workers. This is one bike ride that you will not want to miss.

Believe it or not there is no blog or news to roundup today. Everyone must be enjoying the warm weather and biking with no time left to put words online.
That was my situation. I managed to ride 47+ miles even with a 17mph wind with gusts to 26mph. At one point I could see a fellow biker gaining on me as we were being attacked by the stiff side wind. 12 to 13mph was about all I could put out and that was before the road made a sharp right hand turn full into the wind. He moved on and I put my head down until I made it to the left hand road I needed to turn onto.
Once I got a tailwind my speed was enough to help make up for the slow riding. I made it home before some light showers would have added to the ride.
Pre-registration online at www.bikereg.com is encouraged (surcharge fee collected by BikeReg). Registration fee is $25. Entry fee for same rider in additional events is $10 per event. Online registration will close Thursday, May 14  at 6:00PM CST.
•   After online registration closes riders will incur an additional $10 late fee.
•   On-site race-day registration opens Saturday, May 16  at 6:00AM and closes 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of each event.
Course:
•   Course is a marked .9 circuit in a park-n-ride lot with 7 left turns and 3 right turns.
•   Bring a trainer or rollers to warm up in covered area.

•   Course is located at the West Bellfort Metro Park-N-Ride lot (11415 Roark Rd, Houston TX 77031)
•   Located near Hwy 59 (Southwest Frwy) and Beltway 8 (Sam Houston Tollway)
•   Exit Hwy 59, West Bellfort St. Proceed South/East on West Bellfort for one block, turn left onto Roark Rd.
