Texbiker.net covers the news, events and resources for those interested in Texas bicycling.

My bicycling passion was rekindled in 1979 with a Huffy bicycle from Woolco. From early rides around my neighborhood my enthusiasm grew to tackle my unsupported first century. From there I discovered organized rides all over Texas, races and mountain bikes. Many bikes and miles later the enthusiasm is still there.

Thanks to my late wife, Hazel Marie, for her support over the many years, miles and rides.

My primary bike is the Cervelo Caledonia Rival AXS below. My titanium bike is the Lynskey Helix titanium. My newest bike is a Canyon Endurace CF 7 Rival eTap.

The 4th Annual Spindletop Spin bicycle ride & fundraiser benefitting the Jefferson County Pro Bono Program. Grab your bicycle & join us for a fun filled adventure.

Individual – $30
Family Ride (10 mile): $25 for 1st parent, $15 for 2nd parent, Minor children ride Free

7:00 am….70 mile ride begins
7:30 am….43 mile ride begins
7:30 am…33 mile ride begins
8:00 am….10 mile ride begins
Ride out times. Registration opens at 6:00 AM
Lunch served…10:30 am – 2:00 pm Course closed at 2:00 pm

* 24 Hours in the Canyon is a team or individual event in which participants can ride as far as their inspiration takes them. This event provides both a competitive and non-competitive atmosphere.
* A team may be made up of an unlimited number of riders.
* Riders may choose to ride in the following categories:
1. Road
2. Dirt
3. Combination

$40 until 05/11/09; $50 thereafter
(Includes campsite, 4 meals, and T-Shirt)
